About the Illustrator of Peeper Has a Fever
 Image by Susan Banta © Hippocratic Press Susan Banta grew up in Montreal, and
graduated from Syracuse University
School of Art. She is the illustrator of
more than twenty-five children’s books,
including Mary’s Happy Christmas Day and
The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin.
After many years in Boston she and her
husband, a retired librarian, have
retreated to the end of a dirt road in
Vermont. When not at the drawing
board, Susan likes to read and quilt,
garden, snowshoe, cross-country ski
and do yoga. She is the astonished
step-grandparent of eight.
